8 Places to Bring your Kids to this June Holidays!

The long awaited June holidays are back again! After almost half a year of studying, treat your children and spend time together as a family! We’ve curated a list of activities that you can do with your family to make full use of this school holiday.

1. Children’s Biennale 2017

Let creativity take the centre-stage at the Children’s Biennale 2017 and discover art through installations, showcases, and activities. With the theme being “Dreams & Stories”, the inner child in each of us will embark on a creative journey. The exhibition features nine artists from Singapore and overseas, with exhibitions like The Obliteration Room – created by world-renowned artist Yayoi Kusama, where children can transform a room by sticking colourful stickers over its walls and furniture.  Other highlights include Firewalk: A Bridge of Embers, a 12-meter-long bridge which allows you to peer into the excavations of the former Supreme Court building.

2. Dino Robot Factory 

The Dino Robot Factory held at The Annex, Science Centre Singapore from 20 May to 27 August 2017 – put the power back in your hands. Allow your children to experience the process of building a robot dinosaur from scratch. A travelling exhibition brought in from Japan, the Dino Robot Factory brings up an engaging way of introducing basic engineering to children 12 years and younger.

3. Children’s Season Singapore

The National Heritage Board’s annual Children’s Season Singapore is back again this 2017 and covers all aspects of art, culture, heritage and education. Embark on a traditional trail through Singapore to “join the dots” and experience “connections” and discover popular family hangouts and heritage enclaves from the 1970s and 1980s. With 9 partners showcasing over 120 programmes and exhibitions, embark on this journey and enjoy the June holidays right here in Singapore.

When: 27 May to 25 June 2017

4. KidZania

Too young to be a pilot? Nah. At KidZania, age is nothing but a number. In this one-of-a-kind theme park, the boundaries are endless and your children can immerse themselves in the adult world. Through realistic role-play, let your kids pilot a real Boeing 737 or save lives as a fireman. They can even earn their own “salary” in the form of kidZos (KidZania’s official currency) to pay for goods and services!

5. Jurong Bird Park

Learn about the different species of birds this June school holidays at the Jurong Bird Park. Get up close and personal with the feathery residents of the park or unleash your creativity and bring home bird-themed crafts as mementos. 6. Playeum

How best to keep your children occupied and happy than by going for a holiday camp! Holiday camps at the Children’s Centre of Creativity provide your children with unlimited opportunities to unleash their creativity with hands-on workshops every morning and interactive spaces. Playeum is offering two camps this holiday – Home for the Holidays and Tinker with Textiles!
